Do you offer wedding packages?
No, we believe in allowing our couples the freedom to fully customize their special day. Our venue fee covers the use of the property for your event, along with providing and staffing event bathrooms for the evening. To ensure every detail is managed seamlessly, we require hiring an event planner. We’re happy to recommend some of the best local planners to make your day go smoothly.
Is there a cut-off time for the event?
Yes, we ask that events conclude by 2 a.m. If you'd like to extend beyond this time, an additional fee applies, which we use to support and improve the local school across the street. It’s our way of saying “thank you” to our small community for their patience and understanding regarding event noise.
What are some fun ideas to wow our guests?
Too many to list! Some favorites include fireworks, mariachi or trova musicians, traditional Yucatecan dancers, a cigar rolling station, fresh coconuts, late-night tacos, churro carts, live painting, and locally made Panama hats. If you’re looking to create a truly memorable experience, your planner can help coordinate these unique touches.
Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?
Absolutely! We are a proud member of Equally Wed, and inclusivity is a core value at Hacienda Sac Chich. We are dedicated to ensuring our couples feel safe, respected, and celebrated here. Mérida is also one of the safest cities in Mexico and has recently legalized same-sex marriage, making it a welcoming destination for all.
Can I host additional events?
Absolutely! Many of our couples enjoy using the exclusive access to the property to host extra events, such as pool parties or welcome dinners. For any events involving outside guests who are not staying on-site, a minimal fee applies. If you’ve already contracted a wedding with us, this fee is generally reduced and ranges from $200 to $600, depending on the guest count, vendors, and other details.
Where do my extra guests stay?
Overflow guests typically stay in downtown Mérida, where a range of accommodations can be selected to suit your budget and style. Your wedding planner can recommend options and we are happy to share a list.
On the day of your event, your planner will coordinate sprinter vans to provide convenient transportation for guests to and from Hacienda Sac Chich.
What is there to do in the area?

It’s a vibrant destination known for award-winning restaurants, captivating cultural performances, stunning architecture, and thriving arts and gallery scenes.
Near Hacienda Sac Chich, you’ll find a wide variety of unique attractions: explore enchanting cenotes (natural underground rivers with crystal-clear waters), ancient Mayan pyramids, historic haciendas, and beautifully preserved churches. We offer full concierge services and are delighted to arrange excursions for you with knowledgeable, local tour guides to create an authentic Yucatán experience.
Do you have a restaurant?
While we don’t have a restaurant, we offer delicious, family-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner options prepared by our staff for guests staying on-site, available at an additional cost. Meals are arranged in advance to ensure a seamless dining experience. For groups of 20 or more, we also offer a taco cart service, perfect for festive gatherings.
Our kitchens are fully equipped if you’d prefer to cook for yourselves, but many guests enjoy the luxury of relaxing and letting our talented team handle the cooking!
Do you have staff on-site?
Yes, we have dedicated staff here daily to handle tasks like making beds, washing dishes, and ensuring everything is ready for you to relax and enjoy your stay. Our gardeners are also on-site each day to maintain the grounds and keep the pools pristine.
Managers live on-site and are readily available via WhatsApp for any questions or concerns you may have. Hacienda Sac Chich offers high-quality service, though we do not operate a 24-hour full service.
