Tucked behind stone walls and lush tropical landscaping, the casita provides a quiet place to retreat while remaining connected to the gardens, pool, and shared spaces of the hacienda.

Its architecture combines contemporary comfort with traditional Yucatecan craftsmanship, using hand-cut stone, limestone, chukum, bamboo, and a dramatically sloped roof finished with vintage French tiles.

Casita Caliza has one intimate bedroom with a Queen bed, air conditioning, and a ceiling fan.

A mini refrigerator, Nespresso coffee machine, and Bluetooth speaker are tucked into the room, giving guests everything they need for a quiet morning or a private evening.

Beyond the bedroom archway, the bathroom opens into a generous space of stone, handcrafted masonry, chukum, and bamboo.

Glass panels in the bamboo ceiling fill the room with soft natural light, while the oversized stone soaking tub offers a place to linger at the end of the day.

Outside, a private garden surrounds the casita with tropical landscaping and a quiet fish pond.

A hammock overlooks the water, while stepping stones lead through the pond to a second private entrance.

Yucatecan Craftsmanship

Casita Caliza was built using traditional regional construction techniques and natural materials.

Its thick stone walls were handcrafted using the traditional colonial method known as mampostería, while chukum, limestone, bamboo, and hand-cut stone give the interiors a distinctly Yucatecan character.

The vintage French tile roof and locally crafted lighting add to the sense that every detail was considered.
